Maigida Damali, a prominent figure in the NDC, is facing a wave of accusations, largely fueled by faceless individuals within his own party.
Despite his immense contributions to the party’s success in the December 7 elections, certain individuals are bent on tarnishing his image.

The NDC recorded a historic electoral performance in the Ashanti Region, the stronghold of the opposition NPP.
Although the party did not win the region outright, the surge in votes was remarkable. Maigida Damali was a key player in this success, working tirelessly to mobilize support for the party.
His strategic efforts, dedication, and commitment contributed significantly to this achievement. No one can contest this fact.
Unfortunately, rather than being celebrated for his role in this victory, Maigida is now being subjected to an orchestrated smear campaign.
—— A Smear Campaign Fueled by Fake Accounts and False Accusations ——
The allegations against Maigida are a product of a well-planned effort to bring him down.
Unknown individuals have used his name and profile picture on certain Facebook accounts which are then used to engage in fabricated conversations with women who are also involved in the plot, after which screenshots are taken and circulated online to damage his reputation.
Some of those sharing these accusations on social media and dragging the man’s name in the mud, have admitted privately that they do not even know whether the allegations are true or false. They are simply participating in the smear campaign out of hatred.
Some are also involved just because the man could not help them when they asked for favors. Bitterness!!!

It is now clear that those pushing/making noise about these false accusations have ulterior motives:
- Bitterness and Revenge – Some of those amplifying the accusations are individuals who sought favors from Maigida. When he could not fulfill their demands, they turned against him, using this as an opportunity to get back at him. They know themselves.
- Political Sabotage – Others within the party are afraid that Maigida’s contributions to the NDC’s success in the Ashanti Region will earn him recognition and rewards. Their goal is to discredit him so that he is not given the credit he deserves.
- Paid Smear Campaign – There are clear indications that those making the accusations and those spreading it are being financially motivated to spread these false accusations.
A close associate of a former party executive in the Ashanti Region said:
“ooo me nua, me nnamfo baako mpo w? mu oo. They just want to destroy the man like that.”…..”I was with him when he was speaking to one of the Accra ladies who are smearing Maigida. …… He just felt bad when he looked at me because he knew I heard the conversation he was having with the lady”…….”[laughter]…..no, I won’t tell you her name now”…..””W?nyinaa gyee sika oo.”……. Aren’t you shocked by this?

Fortunately, the truth is beginning to come to light. Some individuals involved in spreading the allegations have been identified and there is now growing evidence exposing the entire plot.
In fact, some of those who initially fueled the allegations are now making efforts to apologize, realizing that they have been exposed.
