Onua TV presenter Captain Smart has shed light on his trending video on social media where he was heard inciting Obuasi’s youth to storm the Anglo Gold Ashanti mining site to mine.
In a live video, the presenter explained that it is not a 2025 video as some people want to portray it because he has not hosted a serious show this year apart from a cameo appearance last Friday.
He added that the video is not even from 2024 as others claim; rather the said video was from June 2023 to be specific.
Captain Smart went on to say that because people are hungry, they are just spreading false news so they can use his name to cash out on social media and he is very happy that is happening.
Explaining how that video came about, he stated that he and his team visited Obuasi for a programme where the youth spoke about their inability to mine some abandoned pits by Anglo Gold Ashanti.
