The threat to kill myself and children was a publicity stunt – Joyce Dzidzor Mensah

The former AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, yesterday threatened to commit suicide along with her three adorable kids.

The troubled mother of three issued what was considered a suicide note on Saturday and she now says she faked it to protect her children in school.

The former AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, yesterday on Facebook threatened to commit suicide along with her three adorable kids.

According to her friends, she has opened up to them and the controversial actress and singer is said to have told them that “it was only a stunt to better the peace of my children”

She had bid a final ‘farewell’ to this world of troubles ahead of what she said was going to be her final interview on earth at 3FM, from where she was to proceed to the village where her children are, kill them and kill herself.

According to her post on her Facebook timeline, She was hoping to go to “a place where there is no sorrow, a place where people will never call my children AIDS children, a place where I will not be judged wrongly, a place where there is no hunger. A place where my children will not be sacked for school fees, a place where we will not pay for accommodation. A place where no one will beat me for using their bathroom. May our souls rest in peace.”

The 30-year-old mother of two, three years ago shocked Ghanaians with the news that she did not have HIV after all.

She had been an Ambassador for the Ghana Aids Commission (GAC) in the fight against discrimination against people living with HIV and after making the revelation to News One newspaper became a topic for discussion for days.

Months after, she gave birth with a boy who was said to be a fraudster or sakawa as it’s popularly been referred to in the Ghanaian parlance.

The guy is now dead and Joyce in a Facebook post revealed what led to his death.
