According to reported cited by Ghpage.com, Lawyer Tony Lithur, the man who led NDC to victory in 2012 during the court petition by the then Opposition Leader, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and Bawumia has filed for divorce against his wife, Nana Oye Lithur.
Just like her husband, Nana Oye Lithur is an astounding human rights lawyer. She was also the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection under the John Mahama administration. She has been married for years to Tony Lithur and has a number of children with him.
Well, according to reports cited by Ghpage.com Tony Lithur is asking for a divorce for an undisclosed reason and has filed with the courts.
The court has already served Nana Oye Lithur with the divorce papers. The court papers served on the former minister reads:
That you are required within 8 days after service hereof upon you.
Inclusive of the day service to enter on appearance either in person or by solicitor at the Divorce Registry of the High Court, Accra in the Greater Accra Region of the Republic of Ghana should you think ?t to do so and thereafter to answer this petition and that in default of your so doing, the Court will proceed to hear the petition and pronounce judgement your absence notwithstanding.”
