Dancehall is one of the most widely listened to genre’s in the world. It originated in Jamaica in the late 1970s as brach of reggae music. The genre has since spread to the rest of the world. Popular artistes whi have made songs in the genre include American pop stars Rihanna and Drake.

1. Vybz Cartel

Adidja Azim Palmer popularly known as Vybz Kartel, is a Jamaican dancehall artist. He has been recognized as one as Dancehall’s most prolific and skilled lyricists. He is credited with further popularizing dancehall genre.

2. Sean Paul

Sean Paul Francis Henriques is a Jamaican rapper, singer and record producer. His hit singles “Get Busy” and “Temperature” topped the charts in the United States, and most of his albums have been nominated for the Grammy’s Best Reggae Album, with Dutty Rock winning the award.

3. Shaggy
