Nana Tornado has doffed his hat for Fadda Dickson, after he apologised to Chairman Wontumi on the back of denigrating comments made against the politician by Afia Schwarzenegger on UTV’s United Showbiz on July 9.
A statement by the Managing Director of the Despite Media Group said “it was not the intent of the station and its management to bring the hard-earned reputation of Mr. Bernard Antwi Bosiako aka Chairman Wontumi into any disrepute”.
In a self-recorded video, Tornado described Fadda Dickson’s apology to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the “best thing to do”.
He also apologised to Fadda Dickson and retracted offensive remarks he made toward him while registering his displeasure over scenes that unfolded on the show.
Nana Tornado had earlier heaved hot coals on host Nana Ama McBrown and the management of UTV for giving Afia Schwar a platform to smear Wontumi on national TV.
The aftermath of the late-night showbiz program also triggered a wave of criticism from the public compelling the station to show its remorse.
It is gathered that Nana Ama McBrown has personally called Chairman Wontumi to apologise to him.
Meanwhile, Chairman Wontumi has sued UTV, Fadda Dickson, Nana Ama McBrown, Afia Schwarzenegger, and Kwame A-Plus and Mr Logic who were panellists on United Showbiz last Saturday.
