The Ghana Police Service in the Ashanti region has disclosed that two persons have been arrested in relation to the murder of the Asamponhene of Kumasi, Nana Fodour.
According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ashanti Regional Ghana Police service, ASP Godwin Ahyiayo, two suspects have been arrested and currently in police custody.
ASP Godwin Ahyiayo disclosed that the name of the suspects will not be revealed now as investigations are currently underway.
“Two people so far have been arrested and we are keeping their names close to our chest”, ASP Godwin Ahyiayo stated.
According to the reports, one of the suspects is believed to be a close associate to the murdered Asamponhene of Kumasi.
The PRO further disclosed that the police has launched a manhunt for the killers of Nana Fordour.
The owner of X5 Pub at Ashanti New Town in Kumasi was gruesomely murdered by armed men when he was travelling on the Ejura – Nkoranza road.
According to reports he was stabbed several times and attackers attempted to set his vehicle on fire.
