Popular Ghanaian slay queen and boutique owner, Yaa Odo, has stirred up a lively debate with her bold assertion that UK-based Ghanaian men, commonly referred to as “UK borgas,” are far more stingy than their US counterparts.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Rashad, Yaa Odo humorously recounted her experiences with financial requests made to men from the UK.
According to her, UK borgas are notorious for never fulfilling the exact amount of money requested.
“If you ask a UK borga for GHS 5000, he will send GHS 4800,” Yaa Odo claimed, adding that they always fall short by a few Ghana cedis.
Contrasting this with her experiences with US borgas, she argued that men from the US are more generous and willing to meet her financial needs without hesitation.
She described US borgas as more accommodating and financially supportive, which she finds preferable.
