Some unidentified person(s) have destroyed a portion of Nana Addo’s statue situated at the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital roundabout in the Western Region.
It would be remembered that last month the President on a tour to the Western Region decided to unveil a statue of himself in the region that got people talking.
After the unveiling of the statue, social media went into a frenzy with people asking what significant thing he had done that he had to be honoured with a statue with some even asking why he would unveil a statue of himself on an uncompleted road.
Whispers went around that some people were planning to pull down the statue prompting the state to allegedly station a policeman to protect the statue.
After the elections, the issue of bringing down the statue came up again but up to date the statue is still standing but a portion of it has been destroyed with the person behind it unknown.
