Vic Mensa on his return to the United States from Ghana has been arrested by the customs for possessing mushrooms suspected to be drugs.
According to TMZ, the rapper was apprehended Saturday at Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C., where he had just returned from Ghana.
According to US law enforcement sources, Vic Mensa pulled aside for a secondary search, during which agents discovered what they believe to be shrooms.
The authorities are still testing the substance they allegedly discovered to ensure it’s what they think it is. Vic Mensa was arrested for felony drug possession.
It is suspected that the mushroom could possess Psilocybin (the scientific name for shrooms) is still classified as a Schedule I substance under US federal law, despite recent efforts in some states to legalize it… and it has already been decriminalized in some communities.
Vic Mensa was in Ghana together with Chance The Rapper where they got the chance to meet President Akufo-Addo and to link up with several local artists.
However, his possession of mushrooms which he allegedly took from Ghana to the US has landed him in deep trouble.
