Reports emerging indicate that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been flown to the United Kingdom following reports that he had been hit by illness yesterday.
According to a report spotted on citifmonline.com, the Vice President left the country yesterday for further medical attention.
According to the Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the trip became necessary following the advice coming from the doctors of Dr. Bawumia after examining him. He left in the evening of Friday, January 18 and was accompanied by the 2nd Lady and wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia.

The Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on Friday was reportedly taken to the hospital in the early hours of 19th January 2018, when he complained of ill health.
He left Ghana for the United Kingdom for medical leave, on the advice of his doctors.
