Video of Obofour seated on a ‘cobra throne’ finally explained

Earlier this year, Rev Isaac Obofour came under backlash after a video of him comfortably seated on a gold-plated throne designed with features of a cobra surfaced online.

The chair, believed to be in his house, had the head of a giant and ferocious-looking serpent with its mouth wide open as though it was ready to strike at its prey.

The viral video caused a massive stir among netizens who questioned the Man of God’s decision to acquire such a seat or even take pictures with it.

Others alleged that snakes are associated with demons and evil things hence, using them as decorative pieces in his home indicates his association with the occultic world.

Rev. Obofour, on the other hand, has since remained tight-lipped and his silence has somewhat left room for the validation of such claims.

But U.S based Ghanaian business mogul, Dr. Samuel Twumasi, has reacted to claims that Rev. Isaac Obofour owns a ‘cobra-inspired’ throne.

As disclosed by Dr. Twumasi, the famous ‘cobra-inspired throne’ rather belongs to him, not the founder of the Anointed Palace Chapel.

“That was my palace and Rev. Obofour only paid a harmless visit. When he came, he was properly welcomed. He only took pictures with the seat in my palace. The Cobra is my customized chair, and barely will you see anyone with it. It’s not even on the market,” he said in an interview with Daily View GH.

“Those were just photos. Even foreigners from different countries usually throng my palace for excursions. We teach them about the Ghanaian culture, its history and all.”

Meanwhile, Rev Obofour is yet to comment on the wild claims that he’s an occultic pastor.
