A young man believed to be in his 30s after a hot chase has been arrested by the police after he attempted to cash out money at the Faanofa branch of the Societe General Bank.
The neatly dressed man, who wore a blue-black suit and trousers with a tie to match, had walked into the bank to withdraw money from an account that the bank had been red-flagged.
The unknown name man had gone to the bank Thursday morning to withdraw money when he suddenly rushed out of the bank and took to his heels.

Some onlookers rushed to his aid to apprehend the suspect after frantic shouts for support from one of the security officers on duty.
Bank officials have kept mute now on the issue but it’s believed that he had been on the wanted list of the bank before his arrest.
