When Raquel came back to Ghana in 2006 after living in the UK for many years, her immediate attempt to break into the Ghanaian music industry was to’accidentally’show her ‘Vee jay jay’ on stage.
Six years down the line, Raquel who took to singing on her return to Ghana, looks back and says that she is now humbled and added that it made her wary of last minute calls to perform at a show.
“Last minute, last minute- if somebody is calling you for the last minute ,always make sure you planned yourself, give yourself time to prepare before a show.”She said in an interview with Hitz fm
“It happens, you can get a nice dress, you go on stage before you know the thing has teared.I have just learned to be humble,to show remorse. As a musician,if something bad happens, you apologize, show remorse and make sure it doesn’t happen again”She added.
The Sweetio singer also said that she doesn’t walk around as if she doesn’t care, She cares but can’t starve or kill herself and can only make sure it doesn’t happen again because that’s not how she was brought up.

Raquel six years ago as a Ghanaian rising musician at Citi Fm’s December 2 Remember Concert-In simple words, jumped on stage to perform in a skimpy dress which she claimed had a mal-function backstage. And beneath this skimpy dress, she had no panties.
