International preacher and renowned Evangelist Dr Lawrence Tetteh was the officiating minister at the funeral ceremony of late Ebony Reigns.
However, he has come under some public backlash on social media after he publicly insulted a singer who was helping him to sing a song during the funeral of the late singer which occurred over the weekend at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

The unfortunate incident happened at the thanksgiving service of the late musician, Ebony Reigns at the forecourt of the State House March 25, 2018.
“Mr Maxwell, are you the one preaching or it’s me? Onye. Come and stand here.”

The respected preacher quickly jumped to his own defence to justify his comment by arguing that the insult can be found in 2 Kings 3:14 in the Holy Bible. He said,
“It’s in the Bible, Ony3 is in the bible and it means your mother. It’s in 2 Kings 3:14. There are a lot of things in the Bible. This insult was said by Elisha after he was provoked by some rebellious kings.”
