A devastating fire outbreak has engulfed the Techiman market.
Reports from the scene indicate that the fire has consumed numerous stalls and goods worth thousands of cedis that has left many traders in despair.
Commentary surrounding the video has it that the Ghana National Fire Service is yet to respond to the emergency due to a reported lack of water in their tanks.
In a trending video, witnesses at the scene expressed frustration by stating that the absence of immediate intervention has allowed the fire to spread uncontrollably.
One trader lamented, “We have called the fire service several times, but they are not here. They say there’s no water in their tanks. Our livelihoods are burning, and we feel helpless.”
