Wife of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Lady Julia Osei Tutu n Tuesday consoled her husband with traditional gold necklace called “AWISIADO” in the local parlance, as part of the final funeral rites of the late Queen Mother of Asanteman, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.

The ‘Awiasiado’ goes in accordance with the sixth-day rites which required the wife of the king to present him with on the sixth day of the funeral of his mother.

The same day saw Asantehene also distributing wine as part of the sixth-day tradition; as well as receiving sympathizers and donations at the Dwabrem Forecourt at the Manhyia Palace.
