The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of all withheld results from the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Per the Head of Public Affairs, Mr. John Kapi, there are currently no outstanding results.
Mr. Kapi pointed out that although the Council anticipates complaints in the subsequent days, the released results reflect the actual performance of the candidates.
The exam body had withheld over 10,000 results after the provisional release in December 2024.
The results were withheld due to suspected malpractices, which were investigated amidst a court action against WAEC.
On February 1, 2025, the Accra High Court ordered WAEC to release the results, following which there were threats of protests.
