One of Ghana’s finest rapper Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin whose stage name is Joey B has asked Ghanaians why they choose to laugh and make a mockery of artists when they lose out of any awards scheme.
Medikal, Patapaa and King Promise are some examples of artistes who have been mocked by Ghanaians after they lost out to different people in their various categories. Medikal in 2017 was nominated in six categories but failed to go home with any of the awards.

Fast forward to the just ended VGMA Patapaa and King Promise faced similar fate after their 2018 VGMA loss.
Joey B who couldn’t stand the trolls took to social media particularly Facebook to spit venom on those making mockery of some artistes because they failed to win an award.

He posted;
“you want to know why Ghana Music isnt going where its supposed to go? the problem is You.
How do you mock an artiste when he/she doesn’t win in a competition? i just cannot fathom this. aren’t we supposed to wish the artiste better luck next time? you dampen one’s spirit by putting them down while they’re trying to achieve something. Lets do better, lets uplift ourselves”, Joey B posted on Facebook.
