We spent Ghc150,000 on Akua Donkor’s one-week observation – Daughter

Mary, a daughter of late Ghana Freedom Party founder Akua Donkor, has disclosed that the family spent an amount of Ghc150,000 (1.5 billion old cedis) on her mother’s one-week observation.

Speaking to Captain Smart on Onua Maakye, she stated that she was asked to find money for her late mum’s one week. But unfortunately for her, she couldn’t get money since all the people she went to couldn’t help out.

She added that the family informed her that they had already made plans for the one-week and they ended up spending a whooping Ghc150,000 for the programme.

Fast forward to after the programme, they only managed to get an almost Ghc32,000, which was even taken by one lady who said she used her money to organize the one-week observation.

Mary informed Captain Smart that the family later presented to her that they had run at a loss following the one-week observation, and therefore they needed her to pay an amount of Ghc150,000.

She used the interview to beg the President and well-meaning Ghanaians to come to her aid so she can give her mother a befitting burial.
