Wendy Shay explained that she gave a demo song to Gospel music producer and manager, Kwesi Ernest to be given to Bullet.
She was later introduced to Bullet by Kwesi Ernest. Bullet was surprised that as a German raised girl, Wendy Shay could sing Afro Dancehall. Bullet fell in love with the demo. One thing led to the other and Bullet signed her unto Rufftown Records.
She denied accusations that she is imitating the ate late Ebony Reigns with the explanation that she has her style and Ebony had her’s.
People only think that because Bullet writes songs for her and wrote for Ebony Reigns too so there are some similarities with the song lyrics but she is not imitating Ebony Reigns.
