We reported an earlier incident which involved Shatta Wale engaged in a heat exchange of words with a police officer around East Legon. It was reported that one of Shatta Wale’s friend was stopped by the police officer for using a car with a DV number plate and in an attempt by Shatta Wale to calm the situation and try to resolve the matter with the police, it turned the other way round as Shatta Wale got pissed off and drove the car away.

Shatta Wale in an interview on Entertainment review explained that, the incident happened two days ago in his vicinity and that he had given one of his cars to one of his ‘boys’ to go and wash when the police stopped him and asked for the car papers.
“My guy told the police he does not own the car so he will call me, the owner… My boy called, I went there and realized I knew the policeman. He is my uncle; I was just trying to get him into the car because I realized people were taking shots. I know the media. Whoever took the video didn’t try. He is my uncle, I love him so much,” he explained.

As to what made the dancehall artist drove his car away, he narrated that they engaged in a verbal altercation with the policeman[his uncle], when the policeman referred to him as a rascal.
“He actually used the word ‘rascal’ on me and that was when I got pissed,” he narrated.
