Woman pours hot palm nut soup on the Praso Police Commander

An angry woman at Assin Dansame poured hot palm nut soup on the Praso Police Commander, Superintendent Isaac Tetteh last night, Thursday 6th June after the police were called to mediate between two feuding parties.

The incident happened when the Commander and his team visited the town to mediate a feud between some residents of Assin Dansame and some community workers who had visited the town.

Superintendent Isaac Tetteh and his officers went to the community to calm the residents down and arrest troublemakers. But the woman who was upset and kept distracting them from carrying out their duties went into her kitchen, brought out the soup and unexpectedly the hot soup on the police officers.

According to information gathered, the parties were fighting over the management of a rural water project in the community which led to one person being butchered.

The butchered man’s family lodged an official complaint with the police, It was when the police swoop in to arrest the perpetrator who was hiding in this particular woman’s room who poured the soup on the police officers.

Two other policemen including Corporal Rawuf Seidu and another were also attacked in the process leaving them with various degrees of injuries.

The police, however, managed to arrest two persons who are in their custody assisting them with investigations, while there is a hunt for the woman who allegedly poured the hot soup on the officer.
