An investigative journalist identified as Kemi Olunloyo has disclosed that Hushpuppi’s accomplice, Woodberry, is not released as against recent news of the US court dismissing his case.
According to the Nigerian investigative journalist, she is the only Nigerian journalist that knows everything concerning this case.
Kemi further stated that only one charge was dismissed one Woodberry and there are eight more left, therefore Mr. Ponle is not released and is in the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), Chicago whereas Huspuppi is in the custody of the United States Marshalls.
Reports recently had it that a United States court had dismissed the case against Olalekan Ponle, the Nigerian accused of multi-million dollar wire fraud.
Mr. Ponle, popularly known as Woodberry, was arrested, alongside Ramon Abbas (Hushpuppi) in the United Arab Emirates on June 10 for multiple fraud charges after a raid by operatives of the Dubai crime unit.
The duo was extradited to the U.S. on July 2.
