Video: I will work hard to become the next Ebony – 16-year-old Ghanaian Dancehall musician pledges

16-year-old Ernestina Afari, a Dancehall artist known by her stage name as Dhat Gyal who was signed by a Norway based Ghanaian Production label called, 5K Productions and will record her in the next five years has made a pledge in an interview on Hitz Fm that she will do all her best to become the next Ebony Reigns who lost her life in a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road.

The young talented musician speaking to Dr Pounds on Hitz Fm disclosed what motivated her to do a mashup of songs.

“I love listening to music so much. So anytime i hear a song I try to sing along. We went to a studio in Kumasi and that was when the rendition started. I love Efya, Ebony and Rihanna”

“The video was uploaded to Facebook and got a like from the late Ebony giving me a thumbs up to work hard”.

The 17-year-old has two music released songs ‘Mayweather’ and ‘Any man’

When she was asked about where she sees herself in few years to come, this is she has to say:

“I want to see myself bigger than the people I look up to”
