Ghanaian actress Nikki Samonas, appears unmoved by the recent xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals in South Africa as she has made it known that she plans on traveling to the country for a long holiday.

According to the actress, should she be granted a visa to travel to South Africa, she wouldn’t hesitate to buy a ticket for the next available flight heading to South Africa.

South Africa has become increasingly unsafe for foreign nationals since the recent spike of xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals especially Nigerians. Businesses and properties belonging to foreign nationals have been looted and set ablaze. Several foreigners, have also been brutally attacked and wounded.

These xenophobic attacks has sparked reprisal attacks in Nigeria as South African owned businesses such as MTN, PEP and MTN have been attacked and looted.

It therefore is very baffling that Nikki Samonas would want to travel to this country which is very dangerous for foreign nationals from Africa and women owing to the exponential rise is rape, kidnappings and gender based violence.
