Renown Nigerian female artiste, Yemi Alade has condemned Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie over what she claims to be disrespectful on the side of the rapper when she asked him for a collaboration some years ago.
According to the French artist, Sarkodie on several occasions has rejected advances from her management team for a collaboration with her without giving any understandable explanation.
Yemi Alade speaking in an interview on Starr Chat show on Wednesday disclosed her unsatisfied feelings with the kind of treatment Sarkodie parceled out on her.
She also revealed that she used to be a devoted fan of the rapper, but has since changed her mind about him since he exhibited such an “unprofessional” behavior towards her.
“I’ve really tried my best to really not go into details but the long and short on why I don’t want to dwell on this is that is super unfair, unprofessional and unkind for international acts or even artistes to have a dealing with anybody and after agreeing to certain things, you don’t come through at all,” she complained.
“I can count three different countries and three different venues where my team and I had an agreement with the artiste (Sarkodie) in particular and he didn’t come through.

I don’t want to bring in the feminine and masculine inequality we’re experiencing in the industry and I don’t want to link it to that. I was pained as a person but I’ll say it is almost impossible to promote a project that is supposed to be for two people when the other party isn’t coming through at all, the music pretty much suffers.” she added.
The ‘Johnny’ hitmaker continued to explain that she felt much disrespected by Sarkodie’s snub, especially on the accounts of reaching him on three different occasions after he performed a show.
Yemi Alade, however, concluded that she is not asking for an apology from the ‘Rapperholic’ saying she’s “cool and not bothered at all”.
