Yvonne Nelson recounts how a company terminated her contract because she was pregnant

Ghanaian renowned actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson has recounted a sad experience she encountered while she was pregnant.

The actress explained that her contract with a telecommunication company was terminated because she was pregnant.

According to the “House of God” producer, she was contacted by the telecommunication company because they wanted her to shoot an advertisement for them.

She added that she was then about 6 months pregnant with her daughter and explained to them that she can still work despite her condition.

Yvonne Nelson revealed that her contract was terminated without any explanation which left her hurt and broken.

She added that this experience made her stronger and that having her child was the best decision she ever made.

The actress took to Twitter to share her experience on how her pregnancy denied her some opportunities.

“I’ll tell you mine, a telecommunication company dropped me because I came clean and told them I was pregnant. They wanted me to shoot an ad, told them I had 3 months more to go and assured them I could come to work right after!

Guess what, the lady who called didn’t even say congrats she said ‘ sorry Yvonne, the dynamics will change’ I was hurt! I was broken! All these and more made me stronger!! IM PROUD TO BE A MOTHER!!!! Best decision ever! I will forever WIN!!!!! #proudmum #woman #africa
