The founder and managing editor of the Al Hajj Newspaper, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu died on the 5th January 2018 at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital after a short illness.
The known NDC sympathizer is the second senior journalist in the Ghana who have passed away in a very short space. First was Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong (KABA) of Multimedia.

The very distressed and heartbroken Alhaji Bature was spotted when KABA died at the Multimedia building writing some emotional words in the Book of Condolence of KABA.
In his words, Alhaji Bature exalted the late Multimedia Journalist and described him as the pillar to the media company.
He wrote:
“KABA’s death is very painful. He was indeed a pillar to the station. My condolences to the family and Multimedia. I think it is important that such people are remembered even before they die to motivate others,”

A month down the line, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu is dead. Allegedly, he collapsed at his bathroom doing the Christmas season after suffering stroke.
Being a devoted Muslim, the senior journalist was buried yesterday at the Nima cemetery barely 24 hours after his death. Alhaji Bature was a Nima boy having lived most of his life in that suburb.
