Amerado did not deserve the title of Rapper of the Year, according to Lyrical Joe.
He claimed that the “Abotre hitmaker” wasn’t all that excellent for the year in question.
Given that he was nominated for the same category as Amerado and had a better chance of winning, he was therefore stunned and pleasantly surprised when Amerado was named the Rapper of the Year at this year’s 3Music Award.
“Let me describe how it transpired from my perspective. We were both nominated last year for EP of the Year and Rapper of the Year on 3Music. Thus, he was named Rapper of the Year and EP of the Year. I, therefore, had no issues with the EP of the Year.”
“But where I ran into trouble was with the Rapper of the Year. He wasn’t the problem; it was me. I made a song because I disagreed with the award system.”
Recently, Lyrical Joe and Amerado got into a verbal altercation on social media where they verbally yelled at one another. Many people think that despite Amerado’s modest level of notoriety and influence, Lyrical Joe is superior to him in terms of quality rap, punchlines, flow, and delivery.
Whatever the preferences of the meases could be, Lyrical Joe has insisted that he is ahead of Amerado as far as the rap game is concerned thus his winning the 3music Rapper of the Year shouldn’t give him a false sense of superiority, especially when according to him, the organizers of the show did a “shoddy job.”
