The Ashanti Regional Police PRO, Juliana Obeng has indicated that the number of suspects in connection with the alleged gang rape of a minor was undertaken by seven boys and not four as seen in the Videos.
Three of the four teenage boys suspected to be the ones caught on tape assaulting the minor have been picked up by the Ashanti region police command.
The police have also confirmed that the act was perpetrated at Bantama a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The videos of the youngsters in the despicable coward act have gone viral drawing disdain from all quarters —especially from the dancehall star Samini who furiously called for the arrest and prosecution of four teenage boys.
The police, however, addressing the media, that two of the boys are first-year Senior High School students while the other is a form three Junior High School student.
“victim has been issued with a medical form. She is currently in the care of the police undergoing psychological counseling and she is corporating with the police with investigations.”The Ashanti Regional Police PRO Juliana Obeng indicated.

“Those in possession of the videos and those circulating same to desist from that since culprits will be dealt with appropriately.”She cautioned.
