Last weekend, news emerged that politician and Member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon Kennedy Agyapong was faced with the unexpected after his gift to support Togbe Afede and the Asorgli State for their Yam festival was turned down.
Following that, a photo of his invitation surfaced on social media with people asking why they invited him to the event only to reject his gifts.
Well, the secretary of the Asorgli state has released a press statement saying the invitation to Hon Kennedy Agyapong was an administrative lapse on his part.
According to him, the council disapproved a request sent by the Politician through his representatives but he went ahead to send out the invitation and the result is what transpired at the event grounds.
The Secretary identified as Stephen Tetteh stated that the more reason why they rejected his gift was because of some comments he made about Togbe Afede.
