When the issue broke out, many people have expressed their displeasure with the ladies for wasting precious time whiles patients were left unattended to.
The management of Royal MMR Hospital at Dansoman, a suburb of Accra expressed their disapproval of the ladies’ action by dismissing them from the hospital.According to the Medical Director of Royal MMR hospital, Dr. Mohammed Donkor the two were fired because their conduct was in breach of the health facility’s regulations. In their defense, Trudy Marcel came out to explain that they took the video in April, therefore, it’s unfortunate they are being punished now for their action. She went further to explained that they even made the video after work hours.
“We admit it was a mistake but it was after work and we decided to stay for a while and we did the Facebook live but I suspect someone is behind this because the video was shot in April” she bemoaned.
But days after a public backlash over their misconduct and unprofessional. The two nurses have come out to apologize to the hospital administration, workers and its patients to forgive them and give them a second chance to prove their worth.
