Cecilia Marfo in the last few weeks has seen herself trending across social media following her popular ‘Washawa Say’ video.
The popular evangelist revived her prominence on the music market after ‘butchering’ the lyrics of a popular Christian chorus, ‘What shall I say unto the Lord, all I have to say is thank you, Lord’.
Cecilia’s rendition of the song afterwards made her a subject of laughter and public ridicule across all the known social media platforms.
On Tiktok, Instagram for example, a score of users created viral videos to mimick her funny slips on the English lyrics.
Some beatmakers have added a few beats to the original Cecelia Marfo’s rendition making it more danceable.
So far a lot of Ghanaian celebrities, Chelsea players and social media users especially on Tik Tok have jumped on the new Afrobeat rendition creating dance moves out of it.
Cecelia Marfo, somewhat the originator of the trend has joined in with her dance moves to the ‘Washawasay’ song after a live worship session at Angel FM 96.1 in Kumasi.
