After the Nyantakyi arrest following the corrupt investigation which was undertaken by the ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas into the Ghana Football Association, one person whose name has been on the lips of every Ghanaian is maverick Ghanaians sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyeman popularly known as Countryman Songo.
Songo has been very instrumental always barking at Kwesi Nyantakyi for the poor performance of the Ghana Premier League.
According to him, Nyantakyi has added nothing better to Ghana Football, but only “chopping” money “nyafunyafu”.
The “Fire for Fire” host was sacked live on Adom TV by the Multimedia group during one of his shows where it was reported that opened too much fire on the embattled President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Fearing the financial consequences of the company, Multimedia had no choice than to dismiss Songo, in order that he would not make further accusations about Nyantakyi to land them in trouble
Before the premiere of Anas’ Number 12, Kwame Sefa Kayi has hinted that Ghanaians will see the good works Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly called Countryman Songo has been doing for Ghana over the years stating that Songo’s ‘glory’ will shine again after Anas airs his investigative work on Ghana football.
After the premiere of Anas’ investigative piece, which shook the world, many praised Songo and other sports journalists who have always been at the back of GFA’s indecent activities which was ‘killing’ our love for the game in the country.
The good news is Multimedia journalist Countryman Songo, is due for a comeback next Monday, 18 2018, Ghpage can confirm.
Songo who has been off the air for some time now has been preparing for his return in the last few days and he has exclusively confirmed in a video that we will be seeing him hosting the hottest TV show ‘Fire for Fire’.
In the video below, Songo is seen singing praises to God as he announces his comeback.
Viewers have therefore been yearning for his views on the happenings, especially as he has, in the past, insisted that there is rot in the game that needs the state’s attention.
