Nana Appiah Mensah, the embattled CEO of Menzgold has finally been granted bail by an Accra Circuit Court today, 26th July 2019. He was granted a bail of GH¢1 Billion.
Nana Appiah Mensah is to present 5 sureties as a condition for his bail and 3 of them must be justified.
NAM1 is also to present himself to the police on every Wednesday as soon as his conditions of bail are satisfied and he is given his freedom. Today was his second appearance in court after he was remanded last two weeks when he arrived in Ghana.
This time around on his second court appearance, his lawyer Kwame Akufo beseeched the court to grant his client bail. With no objection from the State Prosecutor, the court upheld the bail request.
Lawyer Kwame Akufo also prayed to the court to reduce the monetary condition of Nana Appiah Mensah because all his assets have been seized by the state.
