The Government of Ghana led by President Nana Akuffo Addo through the minister of Information Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed that they would be naming some celebrities as brand ambassadors in the coming days.
The Minister made this statement during a stakeholder consultation meeting between the Information Ministry, the Ghana Journalists Association and GIBA.
According to him, these celebrities when mentioned are supposed to use their platforms to preach more on the deadly Coronavirus.

He continued that these celebrities command huge followers on social media and hence they believe they can spread the word better on coronavirus and how to prevent it.
President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Affail Monney who was also present at the meeting cautioned the media against publishing false stories during this period.
To him, it’s imperative for Journalists and media houses to check their facts before they publish stories.
