The Ghana Police Service has acted quickly in response to a viral video showing a man summoning police officers to a River god.
The driver who gave his name Tamimu, prayed to the gods and asked them to help him deal with the police officers who put weed in his car in order to extort 500 cedis from him.
The man said that on January 2, 2022, he was heading to Asaamankese to buy car tyres when he was stopped by a police patrol team, who accused him of putting cannabis in the back seat during their automobile ride.
They handcuffed him, assaulted him and demanded 500 cedis from him before letting go.
After a video of the curse hit social media the Inspector General Of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has acted swiftly to reach out to the man.
