Ghanaian actor, politician and entrepreneur John Dumelo has given put free farming implements to some peasant farmers in his home constituency SALL.
According to him, the people in the constituency were left out of the National Farmer’s Day celebration last week thus he had decided to put smiles on their faces.
Remember the people of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lipke and Lolobi (SALL) in the Oti Region do not have a defined district and constituency since the new region was carved out from the Volta Region.
In the 2020 election, they failed to have a representative in parliament…which has worsened the developmental plight of people living in that area.
On the back of that, John Dumelo who hails from the area decided to give out the farm implements to support these farmers who were not acknowledged and celebrated on Farmers Day.
In a social media post with accompanying photos, John Dumelo wrote:
The people of SALL were left out of the farmers day celebrations last week. The John dumelo foundation decided to reward several women across the Guan district with some farming tools. Hopefully next year we will do it bigger and better. God bless farmers.
