Kennedy Agyapong attacks Regional Police Commander on UEW Campus

Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region of Ghana attempted to assault the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCOP/Mr. Paul Manly Awini who is the Central Region Police Commander today during the Unversity of Education, Winneba (UEW) riot.

In the video which is fast going viral online, angry Kennedy Agyapong charged on the police commander for reasons yet to be established and warned him to be careful or he will deal with him drastically.

Kennedy Agyapong was only restrained by the people who had gathered to watch the unfolding situation. The police officer who obviously was afraid of Kennedy Agyapong stayed back and watch the drama unfold.

A peaceful demonstration by the students of Unversity of Education, Winneba to protest the dismissal of some lecturers of the school and also to demand the dismissal of the Vice Chancellor of the university turned bloody today, 14th March 2019.

To Police who were on the campus fired tear gas into the angry student demonstrators leading to more chaos. The School as at now has been closed down indefinitely.
