Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central has promised to go to the rescue of a group of Ghanaians, predominantly women, stranded in Lebanon.
A couple of days ago, a video of a group of Ghanaians, mostly women, tired of the hardship in Lebanon went viral as they showed up in their numbers at the Ghanaian embassy in the country.
According to them, the government of Ghana had promised to help evacuate them from the Western Asian country but for a while now they are yet to hear any good news.
However, Kennedy Agyapong has in a new video promised to donate an amount of $100,000 to help bring these Ghanaians back home.
He was heard saying, ” Is this how bad it has become? Look at where Ghanaians have reached. I feel so sorry for them and i am donating $100,000 to help them return to Ghana.”
