The limit on the numbers of persons who can attend conferences, workshops lifted -Akufo-Addo

The president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo addressing the nation on 16th August 2020 announced that restriction of the number of people who can attend conferences, workshops, award ceremonies etc has now been lifted.

This is the update number 15 by the President under the theme; “Measures Taken against the spread of Coronavirus”

In the President’s speech, he revealed that this new directive is subjected to the maintenance of social distancing amongst participants and a two-hour limit for each session.

“The limit on the numbers of persons who can attend conferences, workshops and award events, has now been lifted, subject to the maintenance of social distancing amongst participants, fresh air ventilation of the premises, and a two-hour limit for each session”. Nana Addo said.

Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, however, stated that beaches, pubs, cinemas and nightclubs are still to remain closed until further notice.

“…..where they will be subjected to the mandatory quarantine and safety protocols. Beaches, pubs, cinemas and nightclubs are still to remain closed until further notice”.
