This video proves that Shatta Wale didn’t mean to say Ghana is a Village

Ghana’s most controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has been the talk of the town for the past days after referring to Ghana as a “Village”.

In the video which went viral, Shatta Wale who was performing before a large crowd in London was heard saying Ghana is nothing but a village. Whiles performing, he paused to give a speech about himself and admonished his fans not to believe in all the stories they read on Google and as a matter of fact, Ghana is a village.

In a new video acquired, it turns out that Shatta Wale didn’t mean to say Ghana is a Village as the earlier video portrayed. The fact is, his full statement was cropped.

Before making that ‘Ghana is a Village’ statement which has got him into trouble, Shatta Wale pleaded with Ghanaians at his Reign Album Concert in London to come back to Ghana so that they can help develop the country.

Addressing the crowd, Shatta Wale pleaded with the Ghanaians staying in London to come back home and help rule Ghana in the right path with the level of education they have acquired.

It was after this that Shatta Wale said Ghana is a Village because of the reasons he later gave.

“Let me tell you something. Ghana is a country that you have to come back and fight for.”

“Cos we’re suffering in Ghana. The politicians are lying to each other. Our music Industry is not good. So whatever education you have here today, make sure you come home so we build Ghana like Dubai. I beg you.”, these were the words of Shatta Wale.
