A 5-month-old baby who was seized and starved by her mother’s boss has passed on.
The sad news has shaken the residents of Lagos, Nigeria where the incident took place.
The mother of the baby had announced in a viral video about the deteriorating health of her baby after he was taken into custody by her boss.
On Friday, December 17, the deceased’s mother cried out after seeing the condition of her 5-month-old baby, whom her madam had allegedly seized.
The woman reported what her madam had done in a live video with human rights activist Harrison Gwamishu.
According to the 19-year-old mother, her madam took her baby because she couldn’t pay back the hospital bill she had assisted her with.
Earlier photos of the baby showed him to be in good health. However, after allegedly being with Tina, the baby lost a lot of weight.
The intervention of the Lagos State Social Welfare Department and the police were required to reunite the woman and her child.
In a recent update, it has been communicated that the little baby has died.
