Yvonne Nelson’s relationship with her late father has been a very dicey one as compared to the relationship with her mother.

It is no news that Yvonne and her father late Mr. Oko Nelson didn’t really see eye to eye as he was said to have neglected both her and her mother whilst growing as a result, the duo were never close. It is reported that she didn’t even attend his funeral when he died in 2017.
So, by posting her mother’s photo instead of her father’s was a means of sending out the message that her mother is the one who has taken fatherly responsibilities in her life so far, thus, she should be celebrated than her father

In her post on Twitter, she shared a picture of her mother and her self and captioned it;
“Happy Father’s Day mama”
