AFCON 2019: Mubarak Wakaso named Man of the match after Black Stars’ Victory against Guinea Bissau

The National football team of Ghana, Black Stars who are currently in Egypt representing Ghana in the ongoing African Cup of Nations – AFCON defeated the African wild dogs of Guinea Bissau at the Suez Stadium today in their final group stage match qualifying them for the 1/16th stage.

After the match midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso was named the Man-of-the-Match. The midfielder was enterprising in the middle of the pitch.

Jordan Ayew opened the scoring for Ghana in the 47th minute with a brilliant solo effort Thomas Partey sealed the victory from close range.

Wakaso was rewarded for his wonderful performance in the game as he became the second Ghanaian to pick the award at this year’s tournament after Jordan Ayew.

Ghana has progressed to the 1/16th stage in the AFCON tournament
