COVID-19: Popular Ghanaian journalist dies of Coronavirus

Mike Adjei, popular Ghanaian journalist during the Jerry John Rawlings’ Military regime has died of COVID-19.

Mike during his active times as a journalist was an Anti-Rawlings meaning he stood against J.J Rawlings and all his directives that time.

He had to flee the country when he realized that his life was under threat for being anti-Rawlings. He is the author of the book “Death and Pain, Rawlings’ Ghana”.

His grandson identified as Alec Quaye broke the news in a Tweet about the sudden demise of the veteran Journalist stating he lost him to the coronavirus.

Alec Quaye’s tweet reads; “I recently lost my grandpa to Covid19. MIKE ADJEI. the 1st man to tell me I’m great. 1st man to put a book in my hand & inspire me to write. one of the brave few in his generation to stand up to tyranny. you taught me courage.
rest well warrior! we’ll link soon in the spirit???”.
