The host of the Delay show, Delores Frimpong Manson has revealed that she bought 2 houses at Ghana’s luxurious community, East Legon in 2017 alone.
According to Delay, she bought the house from the profit she earned from selling her “Delay Mackerel”. She revealed that when she started the mackerel business, although she expected it to succeed she was overwhelmed with the huge patronage.
Speaking at the 2018 International Youth Empowerment Summit (iYES) conference on Wednesday night at the National Theatre, Delores Frimpong Manson revealed when she started the Mackerel business, she was storing the products at the same house she had rented at East Legon.
She kept some in the storeroom, her kitchen and even in her bedroom when the situation demanded it. But with time, sales of the product picked up in the market and she experienced overwhelming success with the Delay Mackerel.
In 2017, she bought the house she was renting at East Legon where she kept the Delay Mackerel with the profit from the sales.
In the same year, she bought another house making her houses two in that plush area alone. Delay, however, refused to mention all her assets.
Speaking at the same event, Delay revealed she was thrown out of her aunt’s house by his husband when she was just 21-years-old in Tema, a suburb of Accra because they had a misunderstanding.
She lived in a Mechanic’s shop until luck shine on her. Delay said:
”Around 2003 I was staying with my aunty at Tema and I had a little argument with her and her husband thought I was a bit difficult to control so they threw my sister and me out of the house at the age of 21. I had nowhere to go. I ended up staying with some friends at a mechanic shop in Tema Community 2,”.
