“Go easy on Ekuban, be nice” -Lydia Forson pleads with Ghanaians over penalty miss

Renowned Ghanaian actress and producer Lydia Forson has pleaded with Ghanaians to go easy with the insults and criticisms on Caleb Ekuban over his penalty miss against Tunisia last night.

According to the award-winning actress, even the world great players missed penalties and that Ghanaians should be nice to Ekuban.

Lydia Forson made this statement in a Twitter post after Tunisia defeated Ghana 5:4 on penalties during the African Cup of Nations.

“Y’all should really go easy on #ekuban so many great players have missed penalties. It hurts, it really does but he’s human and this is one of the worst things that can happen to any player. Be Nice”, she tweeted.

The Senior National team, Black Stars are currently out of the African Cup of Nations held in Egypt after they were kicked out by Tunisia in a penalty shoot-out.

Ghana’s striker Caleb Ekuban was the only Ghanaian player who missed his shot during the penalty stage and has received lots of criticisms and backlash from Ghanaians.
