Mobile money vendor robbed, bathed with acid at Gomoa Fetteh

Mobile money vendor, 23-year-old Kate Aidoo at Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East District of the Central region has been robbed and bathed with acid by unknown armed robbers yesterday, Monday 25th March 2019 right inside her shop.

According to the reports, the culprits, two men visited the shop of Kate Aidoo twice to make transactions. On the second times, they demanded all her money which she handed over to avoid being hurt.

But the robbers did not end there, they poured acid on the face and breast of the 23-year-old lady permanently damaging her.

The screams of Kate Aidoo attracted people to the scene who chased and arrested the two men who had committed the atrocity.

Kate was rushed to the Village of Hope Clinic but was only administered first aid and given a referral letter to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra because they were told the situation was beyond the clinic.

Speaking to Adom FM, the father of Kate Aidoo revealed he has called for an ambulance but none has arrived yet. He spoke about how his daughter’s skin is destroying.

“I have called for an ambulance, which is yet to arrive so that I can send my daughter to Korle-Bu as I have been told. Her face is completely destroyed and she is finding it difficult to open her eyes,” he stated.

The culprits have been handed over to the police who has already launched investigations into the heinous crimes
